On Friday during the meeting, members of the Committee granted a hearing to information of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Ministry of Defence, the State Border Guard Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence.
The Committee unanimously adopted the decision for all state authorities and local self-government authorities to take all necessary measures for general normalization of the situation in the country.
People’s deputies recommend that the Verkhovna Rada take measures on prevention of making decisions and speeches from the tribune that can destabilize the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in Sevastopol city, and in the country in general.
The Committee also suggests supplement the working group, that is working on the issue of stabilizing the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and in Sevastopol city according to the protocol instruction of the Verkhovna Rada adopted on February 24, 2014, with representatives of all deputies factions, groups and people’s deputies elected or residing in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and in Sevastopol city.
The Committee members suggest form and send the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city for negotiating with representatives of local authorities of all levels, NGOs and deputies of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation that are now present there.
